Brilliant

Wendell: It’s a mess, ain’t it, sheriff?
Ed Tom Bell: If it ain’t, it’ll do till the mess gets here.

Last night I went to see the Coen brothers’ new movie No Country for Old Men.  It was my first trip to a movie theater in a year!  In a word, the movie was brilliant (but violent) and will probably join my top 10 list.  The dialog is on par with films like Pulp Fiction and Boogie Nights — maybe even a step better.  And the acting was outstanding.  It was one of those rare movies that you wish would keep going and going.

I’m still a little perplexed by the ending, but I do like the fact that it wasn’t a traditional wrap-everything-up-neatly finish.
