Last night, Team ThinkCash went to Dallas to have dinner and catch the TX Tough Grand Prix, a professional criterium held at Victory Park in Dallas. There was over $25,000 in cash prizes, so the event attracted cyclists from some of the best domestic cycling teams including Toyota United, Jittery Joe’s, and Team Garmin / Chipotle.
This is the first pro cycling event I’ve attended and I had a blast. To see 100 riders go by at 35-40mph is pretty awe-inspiring. We even decided at the last minute to sponsor a $300 prime (pronounced “preem”) for one lap.
The next stage in TX Tough is the rally ride on Sunday. I was planning to ride in it, but considering that a hurricane will be blowing through, it’s not looking good.
